I've been working on a little baby gift book. It's very tricky to put together, I don't have any photos to work with, and because the recipient isn't a scrapper.
I chose to go with a little 4x6 chipboard binder book. The formula is pretty simple.
White cardstock goes inside each of the 10 page protectors. The cardstock will be replaced by a photo later. In between each of the page protectors is a decorated 4x6 piece of patterned paper with a space for journaling. All she'll have to do when she gets it is pop in the photos and then write some stuff down. Easy peasy.
Here's a little peek. I'm about half done with the inside pages:
I got a BG Urban Prarie paper pad on sale at M's. It seemed just the right amount of girly-ness for me to work with, but not be overwhelmed.
I really want to grunge it up and ink and paint the heck out of it, but I have to keep it conservative because it is a gift. ;)
That just means the page on working on right now is about to get splattered with paint instead. Yay!
