New Blog Design. Yay! Also, let's do a giveaway!

That only took like all weekend.... (well, in between the social engagements and relaxing and all..) I'm really really happy with it. It really feels more "me."It certainly was time to update the design and now there are a bunch of cool new features for my lovely readers.

Here's a meta-photo for all my peeps on Google Reader:

I also re-did the banners and formatting for my portfolio and tutorials site.

I thought you might like to see some of my old banners. Makes me feel all nostalgic. Also, really easy to see how much my photoshop and blog hacking skills have improved. ;)

Biiig plans for the tutorial site this Fall. I want to get some actual classes (with kits, hopefully) up there, probably Octoberish. Also plans to restock the Etsy for the Holidays. Also going to do more pendants and some stamp designs that I have been twiddling with. My business plan for CoffeeGirl Crafts is going to kick into high gear at end of Summer. At least, that's what the plan is.

Anyway, about the blog! I'd love to hear your thoughts about it. Questions, comments and criticism are all welcome. Especially questions. I like those. :)

In fact... If you leave a comment on THIS post by Wednesday July 15th I will draw a random person who will receive their choice of either blog design work or a physical goodie bag.

Happy happy weekend!

Super cute new blog design ... love the colors. And I'm so excited for the tutorial site. Here's a question: are you self-taught in web design - or do you have a recommendation for where to start/pointers for us newbies?

I loved looking at all the "old" banners... but my favourite is the new one - so yeah, you did good! I'm a big fan of squared paper, love to see it as a background on your blog!

True. I agree with your suggestion of carrying out the basic practices while blogging. But sometimes, these suggestions are limited to blogging and not for the whole internet marketing. I read your post, and open a blog where I used to present some articles regarding the advancements in the medicine, new research going on the field, and other relevant topics. It works fine to gain a continuous attention from the patients. But the same didn’t work much for the website that I created for my clinic. I was eventually required to hire an SEO company.Hiring someone to optimize your website would be a really good idea if you have a new website and/or business venture. Using the services of an experienced Offshore SEO company will give you exactly the results you need. SEO companies are trained to generate a steady continuous flow of quality traffic in order to achieve more revenue for your business. This is one of those factors that many of the people are ignorant of. I am a physicist, and run my own clinic. Marketing was a part that generally doctors are unaware of. I made one website which I though would help me ameliorate my business, but it doesn’t make a great difference as it was far not found on search engines. Then, I came across a website designing and marketing company named as Medical Web Experts (www.medicalwebexperts.com), with which I had a contract for advertising and optimizing my website to make it google-friendly. The main problem with my website was found to be improper website coding, which resisted my website to be listed in top most search. The company did well in reconstructing my website, making it popular using SEO techniques. The benefits are slowly coming into action. Website helped me getting a good sum of patients at my doorstep. Web marketing really helped my business work, making my investments in SEO worthy.

The graph paper background is the bomb-est!!! I also love the "lacy" white graphic sides although i'm not feeling the "tan" color; the inchie pics in your header are fab! there: my 2 cents for what they're worth.
