I heard online that Scrap in Style was going to be closing down this weekend.
I wanted to take a moment to say goodbye, because for a while there, it really was my online home, and I spent a lot of time there. When I first discovered the online scrapping community, of course, I discovered 2 Peas in a Bucket. But it was soo big and intimidating. I hardly posted or shared anything at all.
So when I heard about the SIStv site I was super excited.. The technology behind the site was very cool, and was really easy to use. But it was the community, the SISters that I met that really sold me.
It was here that I met so many great friends and discovered so many inspiring artists, many of whom I follow to this day. It was an amazing community. I loved the gallery. I loved the webisodes. And the kits (still hoarding a bunch of Kristina Contes paper, oh yes I am).
This site was a huge part of my discovery phase into the hobby, and I am thankful for how it helped me to grow and find my own style.
Eventually, all good things had to come to an end.. the site started to have some troubles... and sort of unrelated to that, I drifted away from the community.
But I won't ever forget what a lovely positive place it was, and how well the ISISters, Fashionistas, and Big Sis did a great job of making a little online home for all of us.
I will always think fondly of SIS, and my SISters. Thanks for the great memories. ;)
