Simply Swank aka how I learned to Solder

First of quite a few catchup posts. I'll space em out for ya though...

So Saturday was a very exciting day for me. I woke up early and headed out to Tukwila to get a mocha...
...Because I signed up for a soldering class taught by Lisa of Simply Swank . The class was at the big ole Impress Stamps store down near Southcenter Mall. I had a blast and learned a lot.

Here are some pics from class:

Here is a picture of the projects I finished. Two cute little ornaments!
The best part is is that I liked it sooo much I bought myself a kit. Be on the lookout for some fun soldered ornaments/pendants from me in the near future. :)

P.S. If you like the looks of this stuff, check out Lisa's site. Also on SIStv Kerry Lynn Yeary also recently did a demo of some of the stuff that she makes using soldered materials.

turned out great! I bought all the tools to solder a few years ago but after a fail first attempt, I packed it all away! Maybe I should did it out and give it another go.

Man, that mocha looks delish! think I may have to pop out and nab one for myself. :)
