So... I have to admit that ever since this girl and this girl had mentioned that they got hooked up with vintage typewriters, I have been a little jealous.
I am such a font-a-holic. I love love love typography. Alphabets and word stamps, computer fonts, dymo labelers.. yes please. Anything but my own handwriting!
So, I was super pleased to find this little green beauty at Goodwill yesterday for the big ticket price of $15. Of course I had to take him home with me!
He's a Smith-Corona manual typewriter (pre-electricity). I think he's from the 1930s or '40s.
A little cleanup with a toothbrush and a new ribbon and voila! Old school word processing.
Now.. what to type.... Hmm.....
