It's like the future already. Anway, here are the layouts! As promised.
And I am going to try something new... and actually post what products I'm using. Hope this doesn't annoy anyone, but I'm terrible about documenting this sort of thing normally, and I want to get in the habit in case I get pubbed or something crazy comes up and I need to know later.
Also, as any of my scrapping friends will tell you, I am a TERRIBLE enabler when it comes to scrappy products. True fact.
(See twitter feed for further evidence ---->)
Anyway... on with the pages.
Products used: kraft paper. Patterned paper by Daisy D's (banner) and Collage Press (journaling spot). Stamp by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous. Punches by MS Crafts and Marvy Uchida. Letter Stickers by October Afternoon. Paint is Apple craft paint (nothing fancy!).
Apparently the secret to stamping with paint is to thin your paint out a bit with water, then brush the paint onto the stamp. Clean the stamp with a toothbrush and water immediately after you stamp, of course.
And I just couldn't stop using the flourish. Addictive, I tell you.
Products used: cream cardstock, brown cardstock. Pattered papers by Love Elsie and a teeny strip from My Mind's Eye. Stamps by Fontwerks (frame), Hero Arts (journaling line) and Wordsworth (tiny phrase). Punches by EK Success. Stickers by October Afternoon. Spray inks by Tattered Angels, Maya Road and Ranger. Paint is plain white craft paint, plus some water. ;)
I decided to splatter my drippy white paint leftovers onto kraft paper and got this pretty fun background here. I went crazy with the stamping and journaling. A good experiment with techniques.. that was mostly what this page was about.
Products used: kraft paper. Patterned papers by Basic Grey, Scenic Route and Hambly. Journaling spots by Heidi Swapp. Stamps by Studio Calico (title), Amuse (coffee cup), Technique Tuesday (top journaling bit), Catslife Press (bottom journaling bit), Denami Designs (little heart) and Impress Rubber Stamps ("love"). Punch by EK Success. Paint is white craft paint.
Note: the recurring theme here is that I just couldn't stop myself from filling up the page. White space? Nope. Frustrating.
Ah well, will just have to practice some more. ;)
Happy Monday!
