Baby Book #1: Boy

It seems that this is the summer of babies, for I have been elbow deep in making gift books for friends who are expecting or have just had children.

You may recall the last gift baby book I put together (or if not here's the link) a few years ago. This time I decided to go with a more handmade feel. I used up some of that fantabulous fabric paper from the Dear Lizzy line (which you may find on clearance by now) and the Making Memories Pitter Patter collection.

I really liked how cute this was, for a boy book. The colors are nice and soft and fairly neutral. The design is super clean and simple (for me!) and the size is just right.

****EW - this is a spoiler alert.
Look away. Look away from the blog and don't read any further! ***
;)

I think it will look even cuter once there are some sweet little baby photos in there.

Those white cardstock squares are 4x6 and can slip right out to be replaced with photos. I really loved using my Martha Stewart photo corner punch to do up the custom photo corners.

Hope you enjoyed the bit of scrappiness this morning.
Back tomorrow with a quick tip, and then also coming up... a baby book for a little girl, using a totally different format.

Happy Friday!

What a lovely book! I really like the way you paired a relatively blank left page with a great decorated photo page on the right. This is a wonderful gift idea! =)

I love it! I like the format of the girl book a little better, but what a great idea! I need one of these for when my little boy arrives!!
