Springtime Curiosities Class & Kit Sale

Also, for the first day of Summer, I realized it was probably a good idea to clear out some class kits from the PaperZone class I taught earlier this Spring. Note: there is a good reason for this, which I will be announcing shortly. ;)

The listing is up on Etsy now. I'm also offering the access to the class separate from the kit (if you can't swing the kit or have too much stuff on hand). Otherwise, if you buy the kit, for a limited time, you get access to the site for FREE.

In the class we'll cover quite a few techniques including: using transparencies to add dimension, adding texture with spray ink, learning to stretch your supplies by creating embellishments made from cardstock, design principles for small projects and tips for minibook photo management.

The site also includes an exclusive video tutorial and step by step photos of the finished book as well as access to exclusive photoshop templates.

I'm pretty excited. I love this stuff.

So to celebrate, I am going to be GIVING AWAY one of the kits AND class access to one of my lucky commenters!

Simply post in the comments what you like (or don't like) about this kit, and I'll pick a random winner on Friday. Internationals are welcome as well. :)

Thank you for letting me share. Have a great night!

ETSY SHOP BLOWOUT + Giveaway!

I was cleaning out my craft stash to get ready for the new year (lots of great things to come) and I came across an entire bunch of class kits for my Bits and Pieces Workshop. These kits are doing me absolutely no good just sitting here, so I decided to just chuck them all into the shop at some crazy crazy prices for the holidays.

And since it's been just about a year since the class ran, I decided that for the month of December, anyone who wants to sign up for my online Bits & Pieces workshop can do so at a greatly reduced price.

In my decidedly biased opinion, I think either the kit or the class would make an excellent holiday present. You know, for yourself, or maybe someone else.

Here are the details!

$5.00

The workshop will primarly focus on taking a snapshot of the bits + pieces of your life right now. The things, places, and people that you love. Perfect to start documenting a new year!

There are 18 step-by-step lessons that include over 500 photographs to take you from start to finish with this project.

The end result will be a mini-book, though there will be other inspiration and ideas along the way. If you want to make your project about something else, or you have other ideas or thoughts you want to express, by all means, go with that. It is important to let your creativity guide you.

Participants will be able to work at their own pace. All participants will have access to the private blog for at least one year.

The workshop includes guided journaling prompts, detailed technique tutorials, photography tips, links to really cool online resources, plus some class-exclusive digital content designed by Coffee Girl Crafts.

Workshop participants will have access to a private blog, and a private Flickr group for sharing photos.

$10.00

This is a fantastic edition to your rubber stamp collection. Perfect for many different artistic projects including card making, scrapbooking, ATCs, altered art and more.

Limited edition design created exlusively for the Bits & Pieces minibook kit (see shop for details).

Stamp is one half inch high by two inches long.

Now, as one final fun thing for the first of December, I am going to be giving away one of my sets of Christmas Bottlecap Magnets! Just leave a comment here with your favorite holiday song and I'll randomly pick a winner on Sunday night.

Etsy Shop Grand Re-Opening Info + Giveaway

UPDATE!

The stamps arrived and they are fabulous.

Hopefully if all goes well with this venture I will be able to offer other stamp designs in the future. It was hideously difficult to narrow it down to two designs as I have a whole notebook full of ideas at this point.

Anyway... the kits and all other associated items will be loaded up into the Etsy shop ready for purchase at 6:00 pm PST on Monday, September 21st.

All items will begin shipping on that Saturday, September 26th.

The workshop start date has been correspondingly changed to begin Monday October 5th, to give you a little time to receive your goodies in the mail. Also September seems to be quite booked with other scrapbook classes, so hopefully this will give you a little break before coming to start a new project.

To celebrate the arrival of my "stamp babies," I am going to be giving away one of the Vintage French Dictionary Star stamps to a lucky reader. Just leave a comment on this post telling me something you have been inspired by recently. Comments will close at 6:00 PM PST on Sunday, September 20th.

Happy crafting!
